Food/Bar Scene - Auburn or Georgia (pretty close)

Not sure if serious.
From my experience it was close, if I had to pick I would say Georgia, but I had a really good time at Auburn last year. We went to what seemed like a downtown area (by the dead trees) and they had bars everywhere, most with no cover charges and drinks were reasonable and had a great time. I am not into all the rave club/dance club scene, so for me I liked the bars at Auburn, but yes Georgia was a great time as well.

quote:I get that the bars by Toomer's Corner are fun and all, but there are just a handful of them. Downtown Athens has like 60 bars in a square mile. Only the French Quarter can compete with those numbers
