When the difference came in a meaningless bowl game that no one from LSU was interested in playing in. When you have been to the mountain top, it is hard to get excited about Atlanta on Dec. 31st.
So, in what mattered, both head-to-head and conference record, LSU was better.
Deal with it.

Bowl games are not SEC games..
LSU and ATM both 6-2 in SEC West..LSU won roadie vs ATM..thus own tiebreaker..
The SEC isn't the Big-12 trying to impress the nation, and playing for silly AP rankings..
The SEC rank and file is earned head-to-head.
