Is it possible for four teams to be successful at once in the SEC West? Does one team fall out completely? Do teams rotate having bad years?

At one point late in 2011, LSU, Bama and Arky were all in the top 4 in the BCS standings.

This.

And Auburn was defending National Champion.

SEC West has been "impossible" for many years, it's nothing new.

1, 2, and 3 in late November, I believe...

About to be impossible? You are talking about a division featuring 5 of the last 6 national champions. Nothing has changed really.

Except that the SEC gets better and better and more and more attractive to kids all around the country the longer the dominance is sustained. We're already starting to see that even our lower level teams like MSU, OM, Vandy, etal are starting to gain the ability to recruit nationally. If the streak continues for another 5-6 years, there will almost be no parity left between us and other conferences...

In 2010, Auburn, Bama, LSU, Arkansas, and State were something like 45-2 not counting games against each other. Even counting Ole Miss, the division went something like 45-5 (best guess, not going back and checking) not counting games against each other.

With 5 teams ranked in the final Top 15, the 2010 SEC West was easily the best division in college football history.
