You wish our O-line wasn't going to be good. The least of our problems.

Aggie - can replace a Top 5 pick at LT no problem, least of worries, etc...

Easy -- we'll replace him with another Top 5 pick...

Mike Matthews takes over at center. Jake Matthews moves to LT. We have a choice of Jeremey Stuckey (stud JUCO transfer) or Joseph Cheek (6'7" 300lb RS Soph) to play RT.

Jake Matthews moves to LT.

Mike Matthews (Jake's brother) starts at C.

Cedric O (currently a guard but a natural tackle) moves over to RT.

Jarvis Harrison stays at G.

Other G spot taken by Klinke, Compton, or Ifedi, all of which would do well.

With all of spring and fall camp, plus the first two games vs scrub opponents, the OL should be more than fine for the Bama game on Sept. 14.

The second question is irrelevant, as one of our returning starters, Jarvis Harrison (#51 LG), was a 2-star recruit who beat out a 4-star recruit 2 years senior to him (#77 Shep Klinke)

As for the first question, the line will look like this:

LT: Jake Matthews (SR), Nathan Gutekunst (RS-SO)
LG: Jarvis Harrison (RS-JR), Kimo Tipoti (RS-FR)
C: Mike Matthews (SO), Ben Compton (JR)
RG: Ben Compton (JR) OR Germain Ifedi (RS-FR)
RT: Cedric Ogbuehi (RS-JR), Joseph Cheek (RS-SO)

Returning starters: Matthews, Harrison, Ogbuehi
4-star linemen: Matthews x2, Ogbuehi, Cheek
3-star linemen: Gutekunst, Compton, Ifedi, Tipoti
2-star lineman: Harrison

As for replacing the defense, the biggest pain will be at linebacker, where we won't be that deep even with all the players we're bringing in.

Weakside End: Brandon Alexander (RS-SO) OR Julien Obioha (SO)

Defensive Tackle: Kirby Ennis (RS-SR), Justin Manning (FR)

Nose Tackle: Polo Manukainu (RS-FR), Isaiah Golden (FR)

Strongside End: Alonzo Williams (SO), Gavin Stansbury (RS-JR)

Weakside Linebacker: Steven Jenkins (SR), Brett Wade (FR)

Middle Linebacker: Donnie Baggs (JR), Reggie Chevis (FR)

Strongside Linebacker: Tommy Sanders (JR), Tyrone Taylor (RS-FR)

Cornerback: Deshazor Everett (JR), Alex Sezer (FR)

Cornerback: DeVante Harris (SO), Tramaine Jacobs (SR)

Free Safety: Kenneth Marshall (RS-FR), Kameron Miles (FR)

Strong Safety: Howard Matthews (JR), Toney Hurd (SR)
