LSU is taking 8 defensive lineman this year and Williams was not in the top 8 according to Haley. Lots of smoke of off the field issues and work ethic that factored into LSU backing off. If LSU wanted him he would have committed weeks ago. Its paysite info and for the respect of the moderators i'm not posting anymore. Yall remember us freaking out about Landon Collins last year. In case you haven't noticed, no one gives a shite about yall taking Tim. He will be processed after his first year. I'm just glad yall aren't getting Matthew Thomas or Reuben Foster

The butt hurt is strong with this one
Never mind him...it's protocol for most LSU fans to say we didn't want him or the kid was dumb/off the field issues if he doesn't commit to us.

To FightingTigers1, LSU was NEVER in the lead for this kid. We could have paid him and he was going to Miami until recently.

The dynasty continues. We get any recuit we want in the country as long as they fit the mold under Saban's work hard system.

Landon Collins own brother which is a for sure 5 star recruit for 2014 has already eliminated Alabama and is a heavy LSU lean. So what happened there with the tide? How much will you guys be bragging about getting an overrated Williams when we get the number 1 player in the country?

His brother is a stud, but we're not going to get every prospect we go after. Even with ties to the staff or roster. Plus, we are pretty loaded at DL after the guys we've signed in the 2012 and 2013 classes. Plus, Da'Shawn Hand and Andrew Brown are likely the top priorities at DL. However, Gerald Willis would likely be seen as a Jack LB.

That all being said, Gerald Willis will not be the top rated DL. Let alone the top player in the country.

As for Tim Williams, the Alabama staff seems to really like him. He was rated just behind DeMarcus Walker. With Walker flipping to Florida State, Williams got a spot.

That might be a problem with TW. Dude straight up disappeared in the playoffs this past year. They are still trying to find him...

Suplex moves aside, LaMichael Fanning was the epitome of a kid coasting through high school on talent alone. If he can still be in the program after three years, I think Tim Williams will be okay.

Hows that working on locking up your states #1 recruit.

Looks like two straight years yall have had trouble there.

Reuben Foster moved to Alabama in August.

We signed T.J. Yeldon in the 2012 class.

Now go pull out Rivals or Scout rankings to refute my point.

Rivals said Winston was #1 in Alabama last year. Pretty sure he went to Florida State.

And 247Sports had T.J. Yeldon was #1. Ryan Anderson, who also signed with Alabama, was #2 in 2012. Like I said, you would use another service to refute my point. Regardless, Jaboo Winston signed with Florida State for earlier playing time and because he's baseball first.

And ESPN had Yeldon 4th. Behind two Florida State recruits and an LSU recruit.

In now way am I trying to know Yeldon. The kid is a beast. The point is there are some idiots on here, both LSU fans and Bama fans who saw a headline that Bama took the #1 player in Louisiana again and freaked out. Most of those idiots have not one clue about recruiting though.

It's starting to look pretty good. He's by no means a lock but he is visiting this weekend.

They're now calling each other racists in the Tim Williams thread on the LSURB to go along with their baseless character assassination of a high school kid.

God, I love when we pull a recruit out of Louisiana.

And they call us crazy and delusional...
