Tried to highjack a thread earlier and shift the focus to Yellum Kellum and it didn't work out.. Am I the only OM fan who is sick of DK ? TN game was blacked out on DirecTV here in Memphis last night.. I had to listen to the podcast on my phone and he was horrible... Cut away from the game at least 3 times without telling the score and how much time was left... Sports Announcer 101 stuff.. He's made a bundle off OM athletics... Enough to build that badass house at the HWY 7 fork... Anyone else think it's time we politely show him the door ?

I enjoy the homerism of DK. Only other option is Richard Cross and he has better options opening up for him in the future.

I love DK.
I have noticed most times during basketball, he gives the score mid-play. It's hard to update you on everything when they go to break because they have so little time before play comes back. The dump out ASAP just to make sure they don't come back after play has restarted.
I didn't listen to him last night because I can't find a fricking working radio in this house to save my life. Actually would have much rather listened to his broadcast than Dave Neal's.
Also wanted to listen to his for the bowl game. TV announcers were absolutely terrible.

His baseball coverage is terrible. Where are the score updates??!?!? He's actually pretty bad about that with every sport.

And comparing DK to Dave Neal and the guys that did our bowl game isn't really the best of sample sizes

I have gotten to where I can't listen to him unless its football and since I'm at every game that's not on TV I rarely hear him. He's too amped up for basketball and baseball. Richard Cross is a star and I'm looking forward to him taking over but I expect the SEC network to pick him up soon

DK is good. I listened to him for about 15 minutes and heard several score updates. It seems like sometimes you will hear several and other tims you wont hear any. But i enjoy his announcer voice and his OM homerism like someone else said. At least we don't have Great Grandpa from Moo U

He will have to die on air to be replaced. Wouldn't be surprising considering his stress level during games.

You think DK is bad until you listen to other school's announcers. Try listening to bama's guy during a football game. he is miserable. DK does a good job IMO

I can't stand listening to him call basketball games. On top of the things you mentioned he constantly whines and makes it seem like the refs are fricking us on every play by not calling fouls.
That being said I grew up listening to him and his voice brings up good memories.

I grew up and went to school with his daughter. I dont think he is that bad.
