Anything ever come of the point shaving scandal?

Any arrests or news on that? I had forgotten about it until someone made a joke during the AU game last night.

I honestly haven't heard a thing recently.
The last I heard there were actually talks I the player is question returning to the team or something

Nothing to this, if they want to look at anything they should have looked at the refs. This involved a home boy and his friends in the Gump.

From memory, this started because some guys from the hood in MGM where Varez grew up talked to him about it... He later talked to a teammate who told the coaches... that was it, not a big scandal, in fact no proof that any gambling irregularities on the game occurred. Just some local punks.

Just following the story. It seems like Ward approached Denson with the idea and Denson told the coaches. I think I remember that Denson was suspended for one game while they looked into it the best they could. I don't know if Ward ever did anything as far as shaving is concerned. I doubt they can prove anything one way or another, but Ward approaching Denson with the idea was enough to get him kicked off.
