We've been saying this for a while. It's starting to get frustrating. Wtf is Hymen doing?
Do you have any idea how long it takes to get a contract amended at A&M? First, the AD and the agent have to work out the terms, then the general counsel will do a first draft, which will then be reviewed by the coach's attorney, and they will go back and forth a couple of times before a final version is ready to be submitted to the Board of Regents.

A&M could hold a press conference as soon as terms were agreed (as LSU did), but there's no need to do that, unless recruits are hearing rumors that he's going somewhere. Absent that, it's best for all this to be handled behind closed doors.

Almost as tedious as the TD Admin initiation process.

That's an improvement on our old AD, who would just go ahead and announce an extension before he had approval.
