Of course TAMU did it in the regular season and LSU and Georgia both came close.

But what would your game plan be to face off against Bama in the championship game if you could use the players from any one team in the country?

Saban with 40+ days to prepare for Johnny Acne .. I'll take our chances on that.

+1. I'll take Chip Kelly with LSU players.

Seriously, I think you pick somebody like Oregon and hope your timing is perfect and Bama is a little bit off. It needs to be somebody who can get on a roll like A&M, put up points in a hurry and then hold on for dear life while Bama tries to pound their way back into the game.

Or a competent coach with players like LSU.

it's just a self perpetuating cycle at this point.

The only active coach in CFB who would have a chance is Urban once he gets the players to tOSU.

Urban has played in the BCSCG twice, so he's got the practice and opportunity to learn how to manage that layoff. To me that's Bama's biggest advantage right now.

All things being equal, Bama having a set in stone plan to deal with the layoff is going to beat the tar out of the coach without one. On top of that, Bama doesn't have but maybe 1 to 2 equals talent wise in any given year, and you're certainly never going to out-talent them.

Saban's teams have performed at a higher level in each successive NCG that they have appeared in. It's clear that he's got it figured out how to tune his players up and get them ready for these games with the month layoff.

The prospect of trying to beat him one of these is just getting harder and harder at this point.

Beat them by out playing them. Bama victory against LSU was a rematch. I'm not taking away from Bama but a NC takes luck also and the chips have been falling for them. Saban is not a god but a great coach. Short of a last minute incredible drive On LSU and Bama is not in. Next year Bama looks set also considering an easy schedule laid out for them. Congrats Bama fans

If I was gonna come up with a game plan to beat bama, I would want a big offensive line and big running backs to pound the ball and a strong defense.. LSU has been the only team that size wise and philosophy wise has been able compete with bama on a consistent basis the past 3 or 4 years.. The difference being a completely inept offensive coaching staff for LSU. I just don't think you can consistently compete and beat Bama playing with a spread offense.

Bama doesn't always field world-beater teams. I think the 2012 version is the weakest Bama team since 2008 probably, but the question isn't how to beat Bama, that can be done, and is done every year Saban has been there but 1. The question is how do you beat him in the championship game?

That question is much tougher, as I think he's the best coach period, but he's lapped the field when it comes to preparing for that game, if for no other reason than he's the only one who's had the chance to do it 4 times.

Look at the teams that have beat Bama.

2008 tebow. He is probably the best college qb ever
2008 Utah. Bama dgaf after the loss to UF. Don't count that.
2010 South Carolina. Garcia played out of his head.
2010 lsu. Ditto here lsu played out of their minds.
2010 auburn. Cam newton nuff said.
2011 lsu. Jj played out of his mind.
2012 a&m. Jff nuff said.

U need to play your best game ever or have a mobile qb that can throw the ball effectively.

Only teams that can do this for next year would be Ohio state or Oregon, if u are looking outside the sec.

Oregon could give Bama a game but not Ohio st. Saban will make Meyer quit again.

Clowney at RB and DE/LB, alternate QBs Shaw and Thompson every play... vintage Spurrier
