Seriously, could this guy be any more of a homer? I receive an unwanted shower every time that old fart "analyzes" a football game or gives a prediction.
Dear Dr. Lou,
SHUT THE frick UP.
Regards, all SECRanters.
Alabama by a minimum of 2 touchdowns tonight.

I heard him spitting this am on ESPNU that he was going to be totally unbiased with his analysis of this game tonight

Seriously, he was just telling Mark May that he's tired of hearing his "biased" opinions about everything with sports. I thought to myself, "Did LOU HOLTZ really just say that? Really?" I was baffled. I think ESPN only gives him a job to get a rise out of all non-Notre Dame and South Carolina fans. He needs to retire.

Doesn't surprise me a bit.

He turned 76 yesterday, born January 6, 1937. He might just be wheeled out rather than retire.
And honestly - yes, I think he should retire, he's done a lot for the sport and deserves to sit back for a while. But his replacement could be frightening if they choose from other ESPN announcers.

Notre Dame could be playing the New England Patriots tonight and he'd still have ND by a field goal

Must suck to hate a team more than you love your own team, though. In other words, sucks to be you. You talk negatively about Auburn more than you do positively about LSU. That has to suck.

He also called Mark May an a-hole at a Notre Dame pep rally. He did it in a playful way, but he talked about how he (Holtz) was a coach and May was a player. He signed the front of the check and May signed the back. It was odd.
I met him a few years ago and he seemed like a great guy. People who know him say he's great, but ESPN does him zero favors. They know his schtick riles up viewers so they encourage it.

Why did this get anchored? What is "not allowed"?

my guess is it probably had something to do with Hugo saying he won't care when Lou dies.
