frick, our QBing was complete garbage.
Frankin had a 139 rating in 2011 in the Big 12
He had a 123 rating this year in the SEC.
So he probably would've had a 135 ish if he was in the Big 12. If he was hurt then Pinkel didn't need to let him play.

I agree with that. What was the deal, anyways? I had pretty high expectations of Franklin coming into the year. I haven't been able to get on the rant in awhile, so sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseam.
Injuries/hesitancy over the season. Had problems with his shoulder or arm early in the season, and it lingered on. Through that his throws became shite. Couldn't hit anyone over 5 yards.

This is my favorite Rant thread. It's been about 1 week since we saw it last.
We played 8 bowl teams. Florida is the only team we played who has lost their bowl game. If we'd scheduled like Miss St, we'd be in a bowl game. And we'd still suck.

I think his injuries had something to do with it. However, GP didn't have a real answer at backup. It but him in the arse.
As far as JF's problems, I think it started with the shoulder not being ready, and evolved into a mental problem, by the last game against aTm he looked like the last place he wanted to be was on a football field. He stood on the sidelines in street clothes wearing a superman chain, looking like a complete tool. I believe he's dead to most of us at this point.

You're not the smartest poster on the Rant, so I think my point needs to be further clarified for you.
Our OOC schedule was tougher than any other SEC team. We played 3 bowl teams OOC. Those 3 teams all won their bowl games. If we'd scheduled East Texas Tech and North Sisters of the Poor like we're supposed to, we are in a bowl game.
But like I said, we'd still suck. Like last year. When we went to Shreveport and kinda sucked.

That sounds very familiar, only Jerrod Johnson isn't a tool.

You played a D 2 school, Conference USA team, Big East team and a Pac 12 team.
:omg:
Arizona State was the best OOC team you played.

getting over key injuries is what it takes to be a good SEC team. you gotta have depth.
sorry but here isn't a single team in the SEC that would have had a good season with the amount of important injuries they had.

Big East team
The big east is tough this year though.
They've had recent bowl success...
Forgot who they demolished the other day, but it'll come to me, gimme a bit.

Specifically, we played Syracuse, ASU and UCF out-of-conference. Feel free to point out an SEC team with a more difficult OOC schedule.

So y'all played Louisville?
Central Florida, #2 team in CUSA
Syracuse #4 team in the Big East
Arizona State #5 team in the Pac 12
SouthEastern Louisiana #3 team in the D 2 Southland conference
Stacked

You'd think if you were going to focus on that word, you could at least spell it correctly.

Not so in this league. I'm not gonna use the injury excuse, because it just exposed our lack of depth, which is a killer in this league.
I made this point several times in the preseason on Tigerboard. Frontline players are pretty good but the grind of the season was going to expose the lack of depth for you guys. Then you lost all those O-linemen before the season even started and I knew it was going to be a long season.
Of course, I was bitched at incessantly for pointing this out.
Mizzou will get it back together but they are going to have to figure out the recruiting thing in the SEC quickly or they will be Vandy/UK.

Syracuse is so bad, their best win was Louisville.
