It's time to politely offer Mullen the door

And take Tyler Russell with him. Bring in Mark Hudspeth cause this shitshow of a team is embarrassing to me as a State alumn and as a Bulldog Club contributor.

As much as I'd like HUD, few programs can fire a coach after 8 wins and this is not one of them.

Don't think we'd be hurting if we were to do it though.

This is the most uninspired team Mullen has had since he's been here.

I just wish we played with the same intensity as we played with in 2009. I enjoyed that year as much or more than any other year. I'd like to keep Mullen, but he needs to address some things, starting with himself.

Mullen didn't lose that game. That falls squarely on the shoulders of TR. He absolutely sucked today. He made bad decisions with the ball and under threw his receivers all day long. The pic on the goal line was horrible. The receiver was wide open to the back of the endzone and instead of throwing it over his shoulder he tried to thread a needle with a fricking touch pass.
I am not suprised at this outcome today. Like someone stated already, this team has not played with any intensity in a long damn time. That part I put on the coaches but also the leaders of the team. Tyler has not shown the leadership we need. He acts like a pussy out there. When he went down on our last offensive play my wife asked me what happened to him. I told her he got his feelings hurt and doesnt want the world to see him get up and walk off the field with his head down.
As much of a cliche as it sounds, the way we finished this season should serve as a wake up call.

So Mullen couldn't have pulled TR right? It was TR's fault that Mullen kept putting him back out there despite him obviously not having a good day.

MSU won it's first bowl game in 1912 against the Havana Athletic Club of Havana University in the Bacardi Bowl, Havana, Cuba. I missed that game due to not being born yet but I would have loved to have witnessed it.
I wished I had never witnessed today's game. The stupid penalties had me asking myself if I was watching a junior high school coached team or at team trying to compete in the SEC. Spiking the ball after an interception...really!?!? Coaching sideline infraction (during Russell's last pick)!?!?. Two false starts in the same series when Dak came in!?!?
I'm not ready to show Mullens the door but his teams just don't seem to show the fire that Jackie's did. They don't even look like they're having fun out there, even when they win.
/end rant

Sherrill's teams were consistently the most penalized in the SEC and he beat no one in his last few years at State except Ole Miss. But our special teams were always good under him...

You sir are an idiot
And you are a fricking passivist. You would still have Stansbury here so your opinion means absolutly nothing to me. Would probably still have Polk too. Mullen is losing his luster and his energy. This team was the most anemic I have seen during his tenure. He has changes to do or his arse should be gone too. Simple as that. I watched this shite for Sherrill's last 5 years. You are probably too young to even realize most of the older posters have seen this before. Mullen and his staff sabotage this team. The boneheaded play calling had the Wildcat boards laughing thier arse off the whole game. He is better that Nutt, Dooley, John L., and Chizic but that's it. He got his arse run off the field by two first year head coaches this year and one was a fricking girls basketball coach who looks like Jim fricking Neighbors. You can continue to eat his shite if you want. I have had enough of him and his staff. I can see why Hudspeth couldn't stand his arse and let this program now. And before you come back with the inevitable "but he has taken us so far" BS. He is the first coach on a while that has done his job. That is all. Every coach we hired should have done their job but didn't. Do you see what Franklin is doing at Vandy? This dude hasthe entire country believing his arse. He is doing his job too but he is also taking care of buisness on the field. His teams are by far the best Vandy teams I have ever witnessed. With all the money this university is spending of facility improvements and the football program we should expect team. We are getting none of it from any of them. I would have enjoyed watched our 2009 5-7 team with a 5 ft QB play this year rather than what I witnessed this year. That team went against the #1 SOS in the entire nation and went 5-7 with a walk-on QB who had more heart and fire and toughness in him than I have ever seen from TR.

If you get this mad over an 8 win season I'd hate to see how you were during the Croom Error you were probably saying he needs time and he's a great disciplinarian similar to how Rick Ray supporters are doing now.

Oh so now you admit you dislike Rick Ray? Wondered when you'd finally actually admit it.

There's nothing wrong with being mad over an eight win season if every team you beat was garbage and you didn't compete against any good teams.
