The world will be reduced to..

the third sec team will be fricked by the stupid committee selecting teams. it would be much better for the sec and the country to just use the bcs formula instead of involving a committee of tards

That's another issue. Those same retards selecting the teams will also have their hands in the BCS, thus screwing the SEC anyway they can.

These are the top 4 in 2012:Notre Dame, Bama, Florida, Oregon
wouldn't a playoff system insure another All-SEC National Championship game?

Not neccessarily. It would be 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 so ND-Oregon and Bama-Florida. Winners for the BCS.

Watching those four do a play off would be much better than just watching bama wipe the floor with those pretenders next month.

I get a kick out of the constant whining for a playoff system. This 4-team playoff is only going to open the door for more teams to cry about not being selected. Then, an eight-team playoff will open the door for even more crybabies. Personally, I have no problem with the current system. Is it perfect? No. But, will a playoff system that has a committee that SELECTS the teams be perfect? Hell NO!

Overall I agree but I think you can do 8 in an easy way (or 4)
If you keep the 6 BCS conferences, then take the conference champs, and add whatever 2 wild cards you want; you can' really bitch as an SEC fan b/c then 3 teams could end up in it, or at least 2 if they are deserving. Then a team like Boise/TCU in the 2008-2011 age could get in as well
If there end up being 4 "superconferences" then you take the winners of a more advanced regular season where you maybe do a 4 team mini playoff for each conference at seasons end

IMO, adding more games to these kids' schedules is stupid, and the logistics of having more playoff games is just too much for CFB. How many games can schools afford, and how many will the fans support? If the Buckeyes were to win their CCG and then have three, or even four, more games to win a NC, how many fans are going to run around the country to attend all of those games? If you really want a system like the NFL, then watch the NFL. I just like things like they are. The controversy does nothing but fuel the fires of passion for CFB.

Move to an 8 team playoff where conference champs receive an auto-bid.

You're forgetting there are only 5 access conferences. Also you're forgetting Notre Dame.

Yes, those mid-major conferences "deserve" an equal shot. Right? GMAFB!! The BCS bowl games are screwed up, right now, because it was decided that the mids "deserve" a shot, whether they earned it or not.

That's why most of the conference commissioners were pushing for a conference champion only format to be eligible for the four team playoff. That would prevent that from happening. I'm glad that format was was shot down. I'm pretty sure the selection committee will try their arse off to see to it that there are no more than two teams in from any conference.

Sounds like a personal problem. Maybe they should suck it up and join a conference or hope they earn the wild card.

Depends on how they wright the rules to qualify, and what might disqualify a school from the playoff.

There will never be more than 2 SEC teams in the playoff. The SEC championship game almost always prevents this from happening. SEC Champ, and then on team that didn't win it's division.

Louisville just beat you in the Sugar. The small teams deserve some kind of shot at a chance for the title. Upsets happen in sports constantly.
