Yeah, I do not think that is a good example. Texas had to play practically the entire game with a qb who had never played before. The UT offense was 3 and out over and over and over for a long time with their D on the field and bama constantly running to protect the lead.
Bama ran 51 times for 205 yards and 49 of those came on one run from Trent. Take out that one run and you are looking at 50 attempts for 150 yards.
Texas shut down bama's run pretty well.

If your aunt had a dick, she would be your uncle. You can play the "if" game all day long about virtually any football game ever played. The fact is we will never know how things would have played out with Colt still in the game. Even had Texas went up by 10, that isn't an insurmountable lead for Bama to have overcome and no doubt they took a different approach with Gilbert under center.

Didn't argue when I saw this the other day, but I am watching the replay on TLN right now and Ingram/Richardson are absolutely gashing Texas.
