My family is making every excuse as to why I should leave Wednesday. As much as I'd like to, I just don't know how bad the roads may or may not be on Wednesday.

Don't expect the state to do anything on 540.. I was stuck at mile marker 52 going south for 8 hrs. one afternoon..

Christmas snow storms are the worst for AHD response.
The last Xmas snowstorm 3 years back I was in Stilly and it hit early, 412 ended up being shut down during the time I had planned to be on the road.
As long as you've got 4wd, good tires, and don't drive like a buffoon you should be good. Slow and steady, with plenty of blankets and cold weather gear just in case. I love to go drive in ice and snow, but I make sure I'm prepared in case I run into probs and have to hike a bit.

Looks to already be snowing in or around the Checotah area in Oklahoma

4-6 inches expected tomorrow night in Little Rock. I'm planning on getting up and driving back to Chattanooga Wednesday morning. That may not happen.

I see it on KFSM radar, but I texted my friend in Checotah and she said there's nothing. It's not showing anything on other radars either.

Yea, I've got family out that way and they said nothing is making it to the ground. Weather bug is showing it on their radar. If I remember right, typically you may see snow on radar for a bit before it starts making it to the ground.

Sounds good enough for me.
I've got to travel tomorrow and I really don't want to so I'm hoping it snows really good before I have to leave, that way I'll have an excuse not to go.
Terrible, I know.

After watching two local newscasts, twc, and reading online I have come to the conclusion that not one single weather expert knows what the frick this system is doing and where it's going to hit the hardest.

I'm hearing 2-4 inches locally for me.

Same here. Everyone of them are saying something different. Got one saying NWA will see the heaviest, another saying the Ouchita's, another saying River Valley, and a fourth saying they're too drunk to care.

Snow is so fickle and hard to predict in Arkansas - looking at all the various models, I expect anywhere from none at all to 6 inches in Grant County, AR.

I would definitely wait until Wednesday. The major roads should be pretty clear by Wednesday.
