They really aren't. In the early 2000's no one talked about Bama. Even when USC and ND suck they are talked about. There are not kids in Washington , Oregon, and Maine wearing Bama gear. Come on. You realize you can be a top 5 ALLTIME football program AND NOT be national.

Yes, I guess Alabama is a national brand if Mississippi and Alabama have their own country.
Maybe Alabama and Mississippi should secede from the US and form their own country. They can call it the U.S.S.R. (United States of Southern Rednecks)
