In 1957, AU shut out 6 teams and did not allow more than 7 points in any game either.

1957 Auburn was also on probation and couldn't go to a bowl. If the rules of today had been in place back then, the AP wouldn't have voted you national champions that year.

57 Auburn didn't win their bowl game though.
