Saban has the ego to do something like this. The NFL is the one thing he utterly failed at. You don't think an ego that large would like a chance for a do over in the big league?

well, between gene stallings and nick saban there was a lot of mike price and mike dubose and mike shula... a lot of mikes with no magic really

And before all of them there was Paul Bryant, Frank Thomas and Wallace Wade.

I understand what TT9 said was juvenile, but what exactly are you trying to say?

It's neither clever nor insulting - it's just goofy.

I seem to remember Terry Saban saying the same thing in Baton Rouge a few years ago.

Not saying I think they're going anywhere, but the word of a coach's wife are FAR from gospel.

Every time they see Saban the LSU fans get pissed knowing that they swapped Saban for Miles. And they will be stuck with him for a long time.

I'm doing some research for a book on coaches and college football so I'm intrigued by your statement.

You don't happen to have a link do you?

A ten year old link will be difficult to dig up. I'll see what I can do.

He would NEVER leave for Cleveland. I doubt he would head to the NFL again, but if he did, it would not under ANY circumstances be to Cleveland.

Stop taking crazy pills.

I agree. He just turned 61, why would he want that headache.

except for one thing. He is a ego maniac, it has to be eating him alive that he failed in Miami. If he is as connected to Lombardi as some say I wouldn't rule it out.

This is what concerns me. I have never felt he was going anywhere but I do have some doubt now even though I hope like hell he stays at Bama till he retires.
