Not a chance. Only reason Manziel was that impressive is because of aTm's elite oline.

They'll compete. Won't win but they'll be in the running late again.

I think A&M has a good a shot as anyone.

Our east schedule isn't USC, UF or UGA (its Vandy, Mizzou), we get Bama at Kyle, & have an open week before LSU.

A lot will depend on what JRs stay and how quickly our stacked recruiting class can contribute.

People need to realize that aTm is a one man gimmick offense and beyond that they are mediocre. Auburn was able to do that with Cam Newton but they also had Nick Fairly and company on the defensive side of the ball. Dont get me wrong JFF is very talented but aTm is one good twisted knee or concussion from mediocrity.

I actually look for JFF to have a drop in effectiveness next year because everyone knows what to look for now. UF and LSU had success in stopping JFF. Bama wont make same mistake twice but has to got to go to Kyle this yr. Ark and Aub have new coaches who are unknown potential. Also Aub will never forget that drubbing last year and will eventually exact revenge...

LSU returns nearly everyone on offense. The secondary will be experienced. The DL is the biggest unknown for us. aTm has to come to Death Valley...

Assuming (or perhaps expecting) A&M to have success after one year is setting up for a letdown. Sustaining success in the SEC takes time. How many teams are annually at the top of the standings? Teams have good years then not so good years. Breaks don't always go your way.

Can they win the west? Sure. Will they? Eh.

Anything is possible,It's a little soon to predict next year.If they want to label themselves preseason favorites,so be it.

Sure they can. Just like Missouri can win the east. But will they? Hell no.

the only way we can win the west is if moore, matthews, and joeckel come back. IF (and i really do mean if) all 3 come back, we have just as good of a chance as bama and LSU. especially with our schedule, IF all three come back, our game vs bama will probably be the SEC west championship game

LSU's D is designed to give high powered offenses trouble.

LSU will beat A&M rather easily next year.

A few things.

1. A&M loses that monster O-line that they had this year. So to see how effective Johnny football will be has to wait until September

2. I think D coordinators after having played him and the A&M O for a season already will be able to scheme and prepare better

Y'all had a great season and JFF is the real deal but a lot of his success is due in part to that awesome OL. I don't think win the west. Finish the same as this year at best or take a small step back.

I think they have a very realistic chance to win the West. If they knock off Bama in Week 3, it could happen.

Both TAMU and Bama have pretty easy roads to the SECCG. LSU has pretty much no chance.

The A&M/Bama game will decide it. The winner of that game willhave no more than one SEC loss due to the ease of both schedules.

LSU plays @Bama, @Georgia, A&M and Florida next year. They could be the best team in the west next year and still finish third.
