I actually would have been happier if Te'o had won the Heisman. Heisman Trophy winners have typically done very poorly in national championship games.

Except if they're from a certain conference:
2010 - Cam Newton won the title
2009 - Mark Ingram won the title
1996 - Danny Wuerffel won the title
In fact, has the SEC ever lost a title game involving a Heisman winner?
