I have no clue if Franklin improved because of in state talent. Did he?

And if so, this gets off of the bottom feeder level of the SEC. I don't think anyone expects him to win an SEC title in 5 years.
I see it unlikely to have an in state haul that would accomplish that, at either school.

In either schools case, improvement does not necessarily equal championships, which is what UT had under Fulmer.

I should say that I expect national perception of the program to continue to sink. Analysts were still saying this was the best job open this year. I don't know if that will be the case the next time around. Soon, Tennessee will have gone 20 years without winning the SEC.
