We needed a culture change and did not get it.

According to Scarbo Kirby Smart (and I am sure most other coaches wanted the same thing) wanted 3 things.
1. To know about the NCAA investigation
2. To coach the bowl game
3. To have control over the program and to be able to hire his own assistant coaches and staff.

It is obvious Auburn did not have a problem with coaching the bowl game because Gus is coaching his bowl game. They shared the info on the NCAA investigation because Gus answered questions about it during the press conference.

So the hangup was giving the coach control over the program. JJ and crew do not hire the best coach they can find. They hire the best coach they can control.

Until JJ is gone and we have a AD who allows the coach to run the program we are only going to get the type of coaches willing to be controlled.

Kirby coaching the bowl is in now waysimilar to Gus. There is no way in hell we are letting our future head coach help our most hated rival from the biggest rivalry in CFB win another national championship. Are you retarded?

The information about the NCAA was obviously shared with Gus after he accepted the job. You don't just not tell your new head coach about NCAA information. Also, he answered the question by saying he isn't worried at all. How do you want him to answer that? "Ah shucks, we are fricked even though they haven't found anything yet"

Who we retain on staff is probably a key issue amongst our AD so fair point.

This is something all the players on the team I know have talked about and how they don't think Gus will bring it

I agree JJ needs to go because he cant hire for shite but look what the hell can this guy be controlling in the football program? It wasnt his fault Chiz was meddleing, cant develop talent and not a good coach. Its his fault for hiring him. I just dont buy that these people "control". That doesnt even make sense. JJ played for Auburn, I dont think he wants us to lose many games.
