Not sure if there is another job that makes sense for him, or if he was reassured what he's thought all along - Bama is his when Saban leaves.
Either way, he was offered in the $2.3M/year range. Glad to hear he's staying. Hate that he considered it to the point of negotiation.

I don't. If someone offers you $2.3 million you at least sit down and listen to what they have to say.
Funny that Bama DC > AU HC though.

He will have my support for the Alabama job when the time comes. His potential would be unknown but I'm not sure anyone else outside the program can understand what it takes to run this machine.

I want him to get a job in the Big East or ACC so that he can maintain recruiting connections while learning how to be a head coach.
