think it's not about film, but personnel.

Here's my quick analysis. Feel free to beat the shite out of it, cuz I'm no expert:

1. Johnny can circumcise a gnat with his passes. Dude is fricking accurate.
2. Defenses CANNOT blitz him. It opens lanes and he takes off running.

Why does that make him hard to defend? Defenses are forced to allow a very accurate passer to sit back in the pocket with all-day throwing time. If you try to press him and get out of your DL lanes, he will run for 20 yards. You can't drop into dime coverage and 3 DLs to press the pocket or he runs right by you. Then, there's the A&M running attack, which features 3-4 RBs who were highly rated coming out of high school.

There is no big secret to beating JFF. It's a question of whether the personnel can do it. Defense that have the personnel (a)run man coverage for the entire game, (b)contain JFF with 4 DLs and maybe a spy, and (c) are able to stop the run with those 4 DLs, can stop JFF. (see LSU and Florida)

I think all the film in the world is not going to help you beat JFF. You've got to be deep at the DB positions (fatigue issues) and have a monster D line and/or fast-as-frick LBs.
