Every time I see him mentioned on HiV, they meltthefrickdown.

My question -- Why?

49-18(29-11) - 73.1% winning percentage
4 Appearances in Conference Title Games(Including this weekend)
Good recruiter
Fiery Defensive Guy

Their main reason is they hate how he gets pissed on the sidelines, isn't that what people creamed their pants over when Petrino did it? Seems hypocritical to me.

And they always say how easy it is to win at Nebraska? Really? Nebraska produces, what? One or two D1 players a year?

Nebraska fans remind me of LSU fans. They go ape shite over anything little..... So their coach is always on the hot seat it seems

He's not the worse thing ever but he lost a lot of support at Nebraska over that Taylor Martinez kid incident even though the kid ended up staying. Don't remember all the details just remember him being in a bad light after that.

Personally I don't really want him, it would cost more than he's worth to get here IMO.

I posted a thread here about this like two weeks ago. I just can't figure it out. His record is very impressive and he has really got Nebraska back on the right track again. I just don't get the animosity. The only answer I can get is his sideline demeanor which is odd because Petrino usually spent the entire game either blowing a blood vessel or having a tantrum. Seems like Pelini would fit like a glove. Personally I would take him in a heartbeat.

You have to remember every thing they blow a gasket over Nutt *allegedly* doing with the womenz is exactly what we should forgive and forget for knowing what Petrino was doing.

HV posters are very hypocritical on issues like this, they do not like having it pointed out to them.

There is just something about him I am not a fan of. I am not even sure why he is on the radar. Is he not happy there or vulnerable to being hired? He just seems like he is not gonna get it done anytime soon at Nebraska, and I have no reason to think he would do better for us.

I'm just underwhelmed by their relative position since joining the Big 10. If he was a better coach, given the turmoil in that conference, they'd be making more noise.

12-4 in the Big 10 is pretty good.

Pelini would be solid, I've just never given him serious consideration for the gig.

Now if he expressed a serious interest, JL would have to listen to him and interview the guy.

I agree that Nebraska's meh offense sorta devalues him, and we're really looking for a recruiting, fun loving, positive face for the program. Pelini doesn't exactly personify that image.

If he wins the Rose Bowl, I may change my tune.

As of right now, meh, down the list a ways.
