You're screwed if you think you can get out of VB the day after Christmas, let alone up to KS.

If it makes you feel better, I'll be riding out the storm in Fort Smith...

AutoZone park in Memphis would be my #1 vote for venue the SECT should move to...

This is my second place vote... Dickey Stephens Park. North Little Rock, AR.

Prepare Your Anus

I know this was talked about the other day but it looks like it's going to be a white Christmas for most of us..

Bulletin issued by the NWS today.

quote:

... WINTER WEATHER POTENTIAL FOR CHRISTMAS WEEK... THE POTENTIAL REMAINS FOR A WEATHER SYSTEM TO AFFECT THE MIDDLE PART OF THE UNITED STATES AROUND CHRISTMAS. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR WINTER WEATHER WITH THIS SYSTEM. OVER THE WEEKEND STORM A SYSTEM WILL BEGIN TO TAKE SHAPE NEAR THE WEST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES. THIS SYSTEM WILL DROP TOWARD THE SOUTHERN ROCKIES BEFORE TURNING EAST AND THEN NORTHEAST. SINCE THIS SYSTEM IS TAKING SHAPE OVER THE PACIFIC AWAY FROM THE MORE DENSE OBSERVATION NETWORK OVER LAND IT WILL BE ANOTHER COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE WE CAN FOCUS THE FORECAST MORE. THE BEST ASSESSMENT TODAY IS THAT SOME WINTER WEATHER IS POSSIBLE IN OR NEAR EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN ARKANSAS ON CHRISTMAS.

New forecast models came out today that put the center of the low pressure system as far southeast as Little Rock. That means anything behind it to the W/NW will experience heavy snowfall with significant accumulations. Looks like travel will be non-existent during the night of the 25th and the following days.

Start heading to Wal-Marks now! :spank:

This fine assed Mexican chick just called me and asked if I wanted to meet up tomorrow for lunch. I'm gonna smash it like it's gonna be my last.

Happy birthday Drew
Shitty troll. He wouldn't be able to make it here. HiV users get their jimmies rustled too easily.

He is effective there tho...
This wind today is crazy too. Knocked out my power twice...the benefit though is that I don't have to go to work today because of it :nana:

NWS is sending out a survey team to see if a tornado hit here last night during the storms. A tornado warning was issued after it fricked shite up. My house is alright but a lot of shite got fricked up at the farm house.

Anyone else experience any problems?
I can not WAIT for the end of Feb to get here :usa:
In my last photo, you can see the Low pressure system centered right on the Oklahoma/Kansas state line (around Arkansas City) anyway, anything to the East, SE, and NE of that center of circulation is going to be rain.

As you can see, around the Fort Smith, AR area, the winds shift from the SW to the NW which indicates the dry air from the SW getting trumped by the cold front/moist air from the NW. Basically speaking, anywhere to the S, SW, W, NW, and N of that center of circulation will be frozen. Look for substantial amounts of snow in NE OK, SE KS, and W MO. Right now NWA's chances of snow are looking good, but not near the 1-2ft range as predicted by some, maybe 4-8in at best. It's too early to predict right now whether or not this thing is going to ride the jetstream further south. If that happens, look for HUGE amounts of snow, if it glides further north, all we'll see is sleet and freezing rain. Not to mention cold arse temperatures.

IF tl;dr then DWI. I was a meteorology minor in college. :booboo:
Here's another model. This one is showing primarily freezing rain on Christmas day.
