You are exactly right. Les is the 5th winningest coach in SEC history (behind Neyland, Thomas, Wade, and Meyer and just ahead of saban and Bryant)and the vocal minority show their moronic foolishness evry week when we win by 7 and not 70.

I agree that lsu fans can be a bit testy but there is a certain expectation that goes along with coaching at one of the best universities in the country. The expectation, I agree, shouldn't be annual national championships. However, on field performance should be equal to the talent on the field. Too many times LSU wins despite Les Miles not because of him. Oh by the way, go to hell Ole Miss!!

Miles is about the only guy who CAN put up with it. That's just one reason he should get a raise.

Ole Piss fans will never know what its like to win championships in any sport let alone football, so their expectations are extremely low! It makes sense.

He doesn't put up with fans. As far as I know, the only time he has to hear from "fans" is when the 12 people that are screened and regulars call in to his radio show. Some of you young guys need to understand that life isn't lived on a message board by most people other than yourselves.

Houston Nutt routinely beat Les Miles, or at the very least, played him down to the last play of the game. The only exception was the 2011 season. Were you singing the praises of Les Miles as you left VHS following the 2009 "Spike" game? Didn't Nutt whip Les Miles 3 years in a row (2007-2009)? If LSU is a program of such a high caliber, then how do you explain the LSU/Ole Miss games of 2010 and 2012?
Any one of those games by themselves could be explained away. But Les Miles has several of these games every single year (minus 2011).
I don't want Miles to leave, but he is paid well enough, and has a huge buyout. He doesn't need a raise.
