How would you structure a 16 team SEC

This isn't so much about what teams would be 15 and 16 as it is about scheduling and setting up the conference winner.
Would it be 8 teams in each division?
4 sub divisions?
Permanent opponents in opposing divisions?
How many conference games?

Jesus. We've already covered this 23 times. We settled on 8 2-team divisions

I prefer 16 1-team divisions with each team getting to make it's own conference schedule. Alabama would pick it's schedule first, and then everybody else could fill in their's after that.

Alabama
Auburn
Kentucky
Vandy
In the same division

Add UGA since they already play the bottom 3 every year.

Projecting VT and NC State to SEC:
East:
Georgia
Florida
South Carolina
NC State
Central (can't have an SEC North):
Tennessee
VT
Kentucky
Vandy
South:
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Mississippi St.
West:
LSU
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Missouri
Semifinals:
East vs. Central (should balance out weakness of Central somewhat)
South vs West
Then Finals after that
East:
Georgia

South Carolina
NC State

Yea, UGA's division would be a fluid situation.
It should be mandated that we play the three worst conference teams every year.
This year we had AU, KY, and TN.
The thing is that we can't draw up the second half of the SEC schedule until we know who those teams are.

2 Divisions, with 8 teams each.
You play your 7 division games then 2 rotating cross division games.
People will bitch about adding another conference game, but it will add a lot of revenue and more attractive games for the upcoming SEC Network.

You put Bama in a group with the weakest 3 teams - say Kentucky, Mizzou, and Tennessee. Then you make sure that Bama plays none of the other teams that have a chance of being in the Top 15 unless you just cannot avoid it. That would pretty much end up with acceptable Gump version of conference expansion.

Way to take an unoriginial thought that was already used in this thread and just change "Georgia" to "Alabama." Quality post.

I think we should take after the B1G and do the leaders and losers divisions.
Losers:
NC State
Kentucky
Vandy
Ole Miss
Miss State
Mizzou
Leaders:
The other 10.
Leaders play a 9 game schedule and play everyone in their division. Losers slap fight amongst themselves waiting for basketball season, Egg Bowl, Easter, or whatever makes them happy.

I believe best would be 2 8 team divisions. The East and West.
But also have a North and South in each East and West.
But in scheduling go to a 9 team conference schedule and play the three teams in your Subdivision and play two teams from each of the other.
The SEC championship game would still be the beat from the East and West.
This way allows for you to play every team in the conference every 2 years. I HATE having to wait so long.
SE 1 NE 1. SW 1. NW 1
SE 2. NE 2. SW 2. NW 2
SE 3. NE 3. SW 3. NW 3
SE 4. NE 4. SW 4. NW 4
Example schedule.
SE1 plays SE 2,3,4. Also NE 1,2. SW 1,2. NW 1,2.
The next season. SE 2,3,4. NE 2,3. SW 2,3. NW 2,3
So you play home and aways with each team before you rotate.
One thing is that you would have to ditch permanents

Anything as long as we don't name the subdivision something gay like legends and leaders
