Auburn gets rid of Chiz on the front end of an NCAA investigation.

A normal firing of Chiz comes with a multi million dollar price tag.

Unless he gets smacked by this NCAA investigation?

Then the contract is off with no payout and then no money is lost?

Then they hire Petrino?

I assume he will out perform Chiz?

He will have a few years down time while probation works it's way out. During that time he can reestablish himself and his (good?) name.

Eventually the SECw will have to contend with him - poor us.

And life will be good down on the plains.

Unless the big red elephant club purchases Petrino an orange and blue Harley as a welcome to Auburn gift.

Of course I believe none if this will happen.

Just a slow night.

I told a friend at the beginning of the season when the Javon Robinson issue happened that it wouldn't surprise me if an unknown AU affiliate stirred up some dirt on Chizik and the coaching staff.

Turned some violations in to the NCAA and fire them all to keep from paying the buy out.

Ride the NCAA sanctions out as there will be a 1 or 2 year down time anyways from all the coaching changes.

This is how the AU "family" rolls.

"All In" when winning and turn on one another when you get a chance to come out on the good end of a bad deal.

Yeah funny how everything's going down, "Huh" how convenient.

Don't fool yourself barner your cow college has always led the conference on getting away in scandalous situations.

Mike Leach has been contacted by North Carolina State. Will Auburn also consider him? What about Crooms, where is he these days?

I thought the best part of the post was the part about bama club buying him a Harley.

Crooms is back (st. Louis?) in NFL as an assistant.

I figure he's saving himself for bama after Saban goes to Dallas.

There is zero concern over "ncaa investigation". Zero. There is no "looming NCAA sanctions" and AU didn't turn themselves in to avoid a buyout etc. That is ignorant.

Best part of the thread is when the two shidt kickers Weagle and NYC want to try to deflect something that they know nothing about.

I was merely making a statement that was my opinion.

As a matter of fact a I heard a credited media member mention the same thing a week or so ago that it wouldn't surprise him if the situation went down like it's going down now.

This is a business don't fool yourselves when money is involved.

Don't get hyper bro.

Actually there has to be more than zero concern because zero is like none.

Surely there is more than none.

I guess that's why Trooper and Luper were taken off the recruiting trail at the beginning of the season.

No worries though.

Again don't fool yourself.

Are you talking to me or the idiot who thinks auburn people would turn themselves into the NCAA to save a measly 2.5 million a year on a buyout?

The NCAA's finding could open an avenue for Auburn to eliminate Chizik's $7.5 million buyout.
