seems like a really odd thing to say about a kid that has not committed and is taking an official visit this weekend to a school that is neither UGA nor A&M
Our guys seem to think we have him wrapped up. We almost flipped him on signing day last year.

My guess is: maybe, assuming some guys do not make it into A&M with grade issues and/or we do not take any more defensive recruits and/or current commits start looking elsewhere. This is will likely be one of the tough decisions that the coaching staff will need (and get paid) to make. After all, we just picked up Cameron Clear a projected TE, and the class is getting more and more full.

yes. they really have no bearing on each other as JaQuay is an EE and RSJ is not

I would think we may be running out of EE spots as well with CC now coming on board?

It's getting tight on both sides but we have either 10 or 11 EE spots depending on who you ask. We now have what 7 filled? Either way JaQuay and RSJ are not relevant to each other.

more than 7 EE would leave 32-7 = 25, 2013 non EE (some possible non-qualifiers leaving both spots possibly open if that is the case)

we have 2 that won't qualify and 1 that is going MLB. We also have at least 1 (I'm guessing more but don't know) that we've talked to about grey shirting if it gets to that.

for 2013 class we are assuming ~3 spots left and really 6 guys are still on the board:
LB - Savi, Mitchell
DT - Manning
WR - RSJ, Stevens
CB - Alexander
Our last 3 or so almost certainly come from this group who are all top 100 national guys. But a guy like JaQuay falls into an EE spot which we have about 3 left for and I think these are our top 3 targets.
DE - Z Smith (JUCO)
LB - Sanders (JUCO)
WR - JaQuay
We have a slew of others we are talking to but probably don't push for a commit from anyone else til we know on these 3. That is going to be really close to signing day (Dec 14) as they are all taking further visits (both Smith and JaQuay are at MSU this weekend and Sanders is going to OSU next I believe)

So you are saying that yall can sign 38?
I was under the assumption that even if players don't qualify you still have to count them towards the 25 players in 2013.

I think we only get one of JaQuay or RSJ - with Williams being preferred due to EE.

Negative if they do not qualify then there not counted as is next year even if they were committed to your program they can look elsewhere

he's talking about the new SEC rules. You can only sign 25 per year and if a kid signs and does not qualify then he still counts against that 25 (but not the 85 limit obviously). The goal of the rule is to eliminate trap dooring and so if a kid signs, he counts because if he ends up qualifying someone has to be trap doored.
The net effect of the rule is going to be that schools will not allow grade risks to sign LOI until their grades are in order. Pretty much everyone is going to have kids in limbo going forward.

it's simply not an either/or situation. We are very tight on spots in both the 2012 and 2013 but these two are not competing for the same spot as one goes towards each class so they don't effect each other at all.

I think A&M is going to pull Williams, and then be forced to make some hard choices on RSJ. It will probably come down to whether or not Manning commits next week

I know your opinion on Looch but he stated on the radio this morning that we have space for 2 maybe 3 HS guys and at least 1 early entrant (probably more than 1 since we let go of Zimmerman)
I believe he said that if RSJ and Manning both commit then we are probably done in the HS ranks unless the Hawaiian LB decides to commit.
Williams has no bearing on RSJ we can take both.
Take that info however you wish

If we get JW, then the priorities are probably elsewhere. We still need a pass rusher, DT, and LB. WR has to be pretty far down the list of priorities at this point, though if Griffin becomes a casualty there is more room for RSJ.
I love RSJ, but we may be in a serious numbers crunch before he decides. I think the early entrants are William and Smith, then the best of what is available from the HS ranks.
I'd expect Hall to be a late HS pledge for us, given his interest and the need at DE if Smith decides elsewhere.

Colorado- I disagree. RSJ is the number one priority no matter what. He is the best player in the state.

This isn't how I understand it. Supposedly KK wants 8 capable WRs to run his system ... we currently have Mike Evans as the only significant piece returning, though both Kenric McNeal and TJ (if he gets his head straight) have had flashes.
No one expects Griffin to sign, I don't think any of the services disagree on that point.
That gives us 2 maybe 3 WR we can for sure rely on. We have Sabian Holmes and Derel Walker who haven't done much, then Quiv, Quincy, Parker, Tabayou, Echols-Luper, and Sezer.
That is 11 (maybe 10) with 6 of those being true freshmen. Adding both RSJ and Williams would be a huge help.
I don't know that we absolutely NEED another LB with 3 mid-terms coming in (Chevis, Wade, Flowers)
I think that we are most likely to close with both the WRs but the rest of them (Isaac, Mitchell, Manning, Smith) are 50/50 at best.
I agree that WR isn't a position that I would prioritize but it appears as though the staff is for some reason.
Hall seems to be taking his sweet time. I think if anyone from the HS ranks is left out it is him.

I wouldn't get y'all's hopes up on Williams, Ags
