What exactly can the NCAA do to Auburn they haven't already done to themselves?

Scholarship reductions? Their staff has been doing that for the past several seasons by poor talent evaluations. Not recruiting to needs. Bringing in guys with borderline character or learning skills and then failing to provide them the guidance to survive such a big change in lifestyle.

Bowl ban? They managed that themselves okay.

Tv ban? The way their teams been playing they wish they could hide it.

At this point making them keep Chiz and crew is the worst thing they can do to them.

We're claiming a bowl ban this year.

Bet Ohio State wishes they'd done that last year. Gene Smith should lose his job over that.

Well, if they have scholarship reductions for the future, they can't rebuild as fast and already have a depleted program.

No new coach wants to have his hands tied when trying to rebuild a team and get the players he wants.

Yep, vacated championship.... but would that make South Carolina the SEC champion? That's not reasonable. Although, a perfect and classic way for South Carolina to sneak one in... especially how they went in with 3 losses that year to begin with.

No. There just wouldn't be a champion. A win is vacated, but the other team still has the loss. Only a forfeit would make the championship go to SC.

Could've said the same thing about Bama in 2000. The NCAA still brought the wood.

The NCAA has put in a whole new bowl of wrong to punish schools with and Auburn is now eligible for one of the first official Harry Reamings.

Check them out, long story short, the NCAA is going in dry and sandy.

The NCAA could order Auburn to give Chizik a 10 year extension. That seems heartless though

I think this is the Bammer in you talking. I don't know how you can say its depleted. It's mainly a coaching/developmental issue. We get a coach in the first year to change the attitude of the program and its a different year.

So there's no investigation or there's nothing to what they're investigating? I don't quite get keeping your two best recruiters off the road over nothing and no one is really buying into the secondary violation deal that isn't even a violation anymore thing.

Does it worry you guys they've tied the Memphis teacher / Auburn booster to the change in Robinson's transcript change?
