I'd love to have Baylor.. Add in Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia Tech then we'll be set.

Too many football school adds..need UNC and maybe Duke..SEC needs nothing..but if do..think Hoops meets yet unestablished SEC market.

Sucks to BU! No other Texas school is coming to SEC. Especially one that can't even draw 40 k to watch the "No. 1" team. Brutal!

We have A&M, so we already own Texas. Thanks though, now go back to women's basketball like a good little bear...

It's about market, and the SEC already has South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M. The next SEC expansion will be a Virginia school and NC State (Duke and UNC will stay together, so the SEC won't go there).

I lived in Texas for eleven years and I don't recall Lubbock being located in west Texas. Is my geography faulty, or isn't Lubbock and Texas Tech located approximately due north of Waco?
ETA: Well, in the panhandle, but it's more northwest Texas than say, Odessa or El Paso.

Lubbock is about a 4-5 hour drive west of Dallas.

Yes, I was thinking it was more north than it is, but I still don't associate it with west Texas like I do Midland, Monahans, Big Spring, Abeline, etc., even though it is geographically close to those cities. Most of my travels east/west were on I-20 and I-10.
