I'd like to see Nebraska and Oklahoma play in a BCS Bowl, but it doesn't look likely.

This. Its a shame that they don't play anymore. Used to be a great rivalry.

No I take that back reb, your not one of the worst posters. I don't have any beef with you.

Actually I choose not to go back and forth with people like that poster. He just trolls threads and attempts to bash other posters. He has no business being on the rant and I think his post quality shows that. I understand you are both Ole Miss fans but since I've been here I have had respect for all of the Ole Miss posters except for that one. Best regards to you, I try to make quality threads and contribute to the rant.

They need this game more than we do, as their program is free falling. A&M is cooler. We have a a young charismatic coach who gets it and knows how to play the game (relating to players, recruiting, etc). We have swag while good ol Mack Brown is expiring. Our recruits and commits use the term AggSwagg --> Texas prints Swagger shirts. A&M wears cool all black uniforms that the players and young recruits of Texas likes --> Texas is going to wear black jerseys against TCU. Pretty significant move considering that they pride themselves in "being traditional" when it comes to uniforms.

The tide is turning in this state. Mack Brown knows it. Deloser Dodds knows it. UT alumni, t-shirt fans, the dude cutting the lawn and the homeless dude begging for money on Anderson Mill knows it. All of this mixed in with being part of an abortion of a conference, with no exciting matchups. They are scrambling. I would love to play them and destroy them, but they need this game more than we do.

While it is true they need it more, we have the chance to REALLY shellack their and Texas (the state) people and croots and make them know we are for real. Nevermind how amazing and delicious watching them sulk out while we sign the war hymn would be. Way sweeter than the rivalry games before this.

Either way I am happy. I just want to go to the best bowl possible.

I don't want to share the spotlight with them. Our results against the competition we have faced speaks for itself. You are right though. We would really have a chance to assert ourselves and we will if we get matched up with them.

I get what you're saying, but you need thicker skin, because this isn't the place for kumbaya and tea parties. Sorry to interrupt, good night.

If I were Texas A&M, I would completely boycott anything and everything that has to do with Texas. You are in a far superior conference and now have relationships with some of the best teams in college football. I don't think you will have a problem getting talent either considering everyone wants to play in the SEC and since your the only school in Texas in our conference than it should give you that needed edge against the longhorns.

Act like they don't exist and eventually they will be begging you for a game.

I have very thick skin but I don't come to the rant to get berated by posters that enjoy being assholes on the internet. I think I have learned a lot from older posters in how they handle people like that. They just want to have a fight on the internet and it really ruins the Rant.

Goodnight OBReb6, happy thanksgiving.

I agree with this sentiment. Ignore their existence. It eats them up inside because they think they are God's gift to football.

Texas has been taking money away from you for years and rubbing your nose in it. In the SEC we share all revenue and have mutual respect for one another. We just like to beat the hell out of each other in the process and shake hands when its over.

Bad AVI, Optimus got up and ruined Megatrons shite after that.

Optimus Klein's chance came and went. The only thing standing between Manziel and a Heisman is Missouri.

You're probably right. Personally I'd tell them to

Here's an honest answer: no thanks. They may not "want it," but god damn, do they need it. They are losing Texas (or already lost it) in both appeal and recruiting. We don't need that game to prove anything. I hope they win out so they keep that shitty coach of theirs.

I'm just speaking as a College Football fan. I would understand if A&M fans didn't want to play Texas. I would understand not giving them the spotlight. I have felt the same about the Michigan Notre Dame series for a long time.

Texas wants no part of A&M in a bowl game.

They have to be worried about A&M's potential recruiting gains in-state due to the SEC connection and their victory against Bama.

I've been hoping for this for a while now. It would be most entertaining to see the looks on faces of the Texas faithful after being hammered by the aggies and hearing the SEC chant. ...well that and to hear the lamentation of their women.
