My vote goes to Hugh Freeze.

Ole Miss went 2-10 last season and now he has them one win away from being bowl eligible.

Will Muschamp.

We were 6-6 last year and are two games away from going to the National Championship while playing the hardest schedule in the country.

Hugh Freeze is about to be 12-0 with 7 moral victories.

Not bad for a first year coach.

Freeze (but only if Ole Miss goes bowling), Sumlin, and Franklin would all be fine choices.

Vandy is sitting currently at 7 wins about about to win no. 8. Their worst loss is on the road to a 7 win Big 10 team.

Richt - if UGA wins the SECCG
Franklin - if UGA loses SECCG
Sumlin

Freeze has done well, but we failed to cash in on a marquee upset this year. Even if we win this weekend 6-6 shouldn't get Coach of the Year, IMO.

Four solid candidates

1. Franklin
2. Freeze
3. Sumlin
4. Muschamp

Franklin gets the nod because it's Vanderbilt.

Vandy has improved a lot as the season progressed, winning 6 of their last 7, the only loss to Florida by 2 TD's. Vandy traditionally gets worse as the season goes on because of a lack of depth.

My candidates for COY, in no particular order:

Hugh Freeze
Charlie Strong
Will Muschamp
James Franklin
Bill Snyder
Brian Kelly

ETA. Didn't notice it was SEC only but that I say Hugh Freeze or Muschamp
