Great topic, and I think the OP has a lot of merit. He just goes too far.
The myth about SEC being so dominant we are untouchable is a myth. And yes, a very good spread offense can be successful in the SEC - one would think Urban Meyer proved that. "SEC speed", "we beat ourselves up", etc is not false, it's just overblown.
But let's not replace one myth with another. The Big 12 offenses scoring 70 points a game aren't coming in doing the same.
Alabama was never invincible, A&M is a very good team that played a mistake free game. It's not that complicated - very good teams beat each other when they play 5 or 6 times - that's the whole point of comparing schedules.

Bama actually outgained the Aggies after a horrid first quarter..it was 24-9 after that and as bad as we played (not taking ANYTHING away from A&M we got beat fair and square) we had a real shot to win at the end.
Manziel played lights out.I don't think the Oregon QB can do what he does and give Saban that much time to get ready and see what happens.
