Klein honestly. Manziel has 2 more years to get it and they dont like giving it to freshman. See Michael Vick's freshman year. If anyone deserved it that year it was him and they snubbed him for the same reason.
I have been surprised this reference isn't made more. Vick is bigger with a stronger arm but the play styles are remarkably similar.

And I think that the voters will overlook the freshman stereotype when he sets that record!

Klein as long as KSU stays undefeated

Collin Klein.
I'm also a little surprised that USC WR Marquise Lee isn't higher on everyone's board.

I'd vote for Jesus Football.
ETA: This is not Manziel's year, but it will come. Klein just needs to win and it is wrapped up.

I base it off what I have watched this year, to include witnessing this weekend. I saw a great fottball player totally pick apart our team so he deserves it. If you were not at the game then STFU with your Monday Morning QB bullshite!

2 losses. No Heisman.
Old info but..
I present to you 2011 RG3, 9-3 regular season Baylor which included a 55-28 beatdown against A&M, 59-24 against OSU and a 36-35 loss against KSU.
2009 10-3 regular season Alabama with Mark Ingram.
2008 12-1 regular season OU with winner Sam Bradford.
2007 9-3 regular season Florida with Tim Tebow.
The 2 losses hurt him this year when compared to Klein but in years past.. no problemo.

Klein's stats
Passing YDs/TDs/Ints/Compl% - 2020/12/3/69.7
Rushing YDs/TDs - 748/19
Manziel's stats
Passing YDs/TDs/Ints/Compl& - 2780/18/6/67.6
Rushing YDs/TDs - 1014/15
Got curious about these 2 players. Looking at this I would have to say JFF deserves it more, but I don't think he will get it because he is a freshman... which is dumb imo.

Agree

I think if JFF can do this again, or anything close to this again next season, then it is his to lose. This season though I highly doubt he will win, since he is a freshman. He will be in New York though and probably will be second in votes.
FWIW I really do think he deserves it this year but won't get it.

Barner is held at a disadvantage
If we talk about Barner, we should also discuss Carey @ Arizona, Fluellen @ Toledo and QB Lynch at NIU.
Barner: 1360 yards, 199 attempts, 6.83 Avg, 19 TD, 136/game.
Carey: 1381 yards, 224 attempts, 6.17 Avg, 138/game.
Fluellen: 1381 yards, 230 carries, 6.0 Avg. 138/game.
Lynch: 1342 yards, 184 carries, 7.25 Avg, 134.2/game.
NIU is 9-1, loss being against Iowa first game of the season. Lynch is having a beast of a rushing year as a QB and is frankly doing more for his team than Barner as Oregon also has Mariota doing a good job. NIU.. they got Lynch and that's it.

My point isnt that you have to be undefeated to win it. My point is that if it comes down to two candidates and 1 is undefeated, the undefeated will win it.

So because he beat bama he should win it? Because of what you saw? Hell guess Mett should get an invite since he picked bama's D apart the week before.
All that happened Sat was Bama was exposed again, you got lucky and came away with the W the week before but everyone saw bama was beatable. Only the dumbass gumps thought otherwise.
Bama will lose another before it's all said and done.
And FWIW It's Klien's to lose, Barner and Lee will both also finish higher than JF.

So if Texas' shitty defense (#85) can somehow beat KSU (I think they stand less chance than we did) would that change your view of Klein vs Manziel?

Absolutely. I still think Kelin wins it as the award can sometimes be a career achievement award. I think a lot of voters are going to say Manziel has a lot of time left, he'll get one before he's done, and vote for Klein.

FWIW, I agree completely with this and how it will happen. JFF will be in NYC (that's almost guaranteed after the game Saturday - 2nd most watched game of the season and the 'storybook' ending) but won't get the trophy.
