Did the aTm win change anybody's opinion about the spread offense?

Honestly I had my doubts, but after seeing aTm, I wouldn't mind having a spread coach like Gundy here at Arkansas.

not really
A&M jumped on a Bama team that clearly was a little slow from the start
when they woke up, played them even and help up well
that's not the best Bama D I've seen either
not taking anything away from A&M but more factors in the win than just the spread or who the QB was
eta: and again, not taking anything away from the Aggies but the "spread" didn't work out all that great vs LSU and UF .....and that was at the Ags house
many factors in that game yesterday, great win for Ags but it was one game in a certain window

I still would say that we run the ball way too much for it to be a true spread. I still think a 100% spread (LaTech) would not work in the SEC.

No
They beat an over rated bama defense that looks like dog shite.

It's not so much the spread offense as it is having a QB that can run faster than half your D if not all of them, can pass left/right handed on the run, and can maintain a perfect pocket presence if necessary
That being said, A&M will be fine with a spread and a non-running QB. We have a stable of quarterbacks ready to get in the game that will be sidelined until Johnny Football bolts (which may be awhile). But I don't think you can have the kind of gamechanger performance with the spread without a dual threat QB.

No. You still lost 2 games.

The spread is very effective when you have a Tebow or Manziel running it

This. You can only run a spread successfully if the qb is a Tim Tebow, Cam Newton or Johnny F'ing Football in the SEC.
I know one thing, from the opening game they played us in to yesterdays game A&M has made some changes and it comes down to qb experience. When A&M played UF almost every single throw was less than eight or nine yards and our stout secondary rode their wrs like a rented mules. Yesterday Johnny threw deep quite a bit and he had the defense spread out. He ran the ball on us in the first half and we adjusted to take it away and thats how we beat them....taking his legs away.

The no-huddle has worked well for us as well.

The A&M squad has grown leaps and bounds every game this season - saying that we lost 2 games to LSU/Florida then, is what would happen today is ludicrous.
We don't play Florida next year probably, but I am here to tell you that the Ags will beat LSU at their house next year.

No. They beat a bama team that had been pummeled by LSU the week before and lucked up with a win.

That offense is all about the QB. You team won't have consistant success with the spread unless you can find a Cam or Johnny each year. It also exposes your best player to injury.
No scheme either offense or defense lasts forever. Coaches figure it out sooner or later.

LaTech has run the ball more times this season than A&M. Their freshman RB has set all sorts of records this season.

I'd like to see how much of your offensive line comes back.
Actually, frick it, it doesn't matter.

You're right - it doesn't matter. LSU is going down, hard.

No.
Bama thought they could play their Defense the whole time and didn't make any kind of big adjustments. Texas A&M exposed that.
