A&M has exceeded my expectations

I am not too proud to admit it. I did not expect much from A&M this year. New coach, new league, Freshman QB, and the SEC West all combined to make me skeptical that your first year would be a success.
However, I also did not foresee that ARK and AUB would undergo collapses of Biblical proportions. This has certainly paved the way for your better than expected season.
Your team has at least 3 first round NFL draft choices, all linemen, in Joeckel, Matthews and Moore. Sherman did not leave your cupboard bare. The SEC is a line of scrimmage league and A&M arrived in better shape than most on the LOS.
The Ags also have a talented group of WRs and RBs which certainly adds to your explosiveness offensively. I had never heard of your QB other than his arrest this summer. He is as talented and dynamic dual threat QB as I have ever seen. I can only imagine that if he had been playing in the Big 12 this year, he would be a Heisman favorite. The kid is elusive, incredibly fast and has great lateral mobility and tremendous vision. I can understand why he is such a fan favorite.
He is a human highlight reel. He will be a nightmare for defensive coopdinators in this league.
Congratulations on a great year. Oh, and you might want to tap the brakes just a little. You are about to confront the reigning national champions at their house. Don't disrespect them before you set foot on their field. The last two games Bama lost at home, were to teams that won or played for a BCS championship. That does not describe A&M this year.
Good luck JFF, you will need it.

Nice post. A&M has exceeded my expectations as well. I hope for a good game. That being said. Years coming... expect us.

I agree.
A&M is poised to be a threat in the SEC West every year, just like ALA and LSU. I think Ags are on the ascent and the Horns are on the demise. Sumlin > Brown
Hell, when BCS goes to 4 team playoff, three teams may be from the SEC West.

The SEC is better than I ever thought it would be

Meh.
They're about what I expected. They've benefited from what's left of the AU and Arky programs.
Middle of the pack SEC West team.

This.
They are middle of the pack and will continue to be so. Bama and LSU will guarantee they lose 2 games a year. When Arky gets a coach that's another loss.

Underestimate them at your own risk. These guys will continue to present a unique challenge in the West. Hugh Freeze will also improve the Rebels. SEC West is going to be crazy good if ARKY and AUB can right their ships.

I don't know if you know who "juff" is, but he literally only posts to insult A&M. Ignore him, he is troll bait.
