Meh. I am pretty thrilled with Jason Cook overall and think he has done some great things in terms of making A&M look more modern and cutting edge. Sure he has had a few duds and some things I disagree with but he also seems to be VERY aware of the A&M brand and reacts quickly when things go poorly to correct it.

I really don't like that they have killed off "Old Sarge" but was glad that the "TStar" is gone for instance. I know you are referring to this promotion and the disastrous SEC video when we first came in the conference but those are blips on the radar really. I have never seen A&M get anything close to the pub we are getting now and it hasn't happened just because we made the SEC move. Cook is working it hard behind the scenes to get people knowledgable about A&M and to show off our school in the best light as much as possible. We have certainly had large parts of our history where we didn't spend a thought on real marketing.

Agreed. But "overacheiving" in the SEC definitely hasnt hurt.

I am exactly the opposite on those two issues

Ol' Sarge needed to go, but the T-star was the best alternate logo that we'd ever had, and even though I get what Cook's trying to do by unifying our logo marketing, but we really could have gotten some serious mileage out of that logo, I believe.
