I was blown away by how much louder ole miss' stadium was compared to dkr just through the TV.

The Texas fans during and after the game were talking about how our stadium was louder than theirs. That surprised me.

Even their players have said that this year publicily. Hence the "sip" nickname.

Texas has a very nice stadium and it is 100k, they also have a nice tailgate scene. The problem is it is a social event and is more like a pro stadium. A LOT of the tickets are owned by Austin companies or just locals since it is a good sized metro with no NFL team (no NFL in San Antonio either which is a little over an hour away). That's why they make so much money. I live in Austin and have gone to Texas games they weren't playing A&M in (wearing neutral colors). Folks show up late and leave early and you can also leave the stadium at halftime to hit the bar across the street. A lot of folks don't come back. I've never seen it really get loud even for some big A&M games outside of maybe a big play or two.

Texas is just the pro team of Austin. It's not a bad atmosphere it just isn't what you think of when you think of when you think of college football.

You'd be shocked at what shitty fans they are. Ya'll's atmosphere blows theirs out of the water.
