The best part about the common man's ignorance to the confederate flag is the Georgia state flag. It is literally a near exact copy of the CSA Flag with a little picture stuck on. Nobody seems to get offended though because it isn't the battle flag.

I might expect that stuff from the tu klan horns or racist stuck up rich kids at baylol.
But I though most large schools in the SEC had gotten past these pesdo-racist ideas.

Well when you have on FILM white police officers yanking the american flags from black people and white people waiving a confederate flag at them in opposition to them voting, etc. then you wonder why the confederate flag gets a bad rap. I was shocked when I saw those old black/white footage of AMERICAN flags being yanked out of the hands of AMERICANS. But yet they didn't do a thing to the angry, violent whites waiving CONFEDERATE FLAGS.

We used to feature the beautiful confederate battel flag on the Georgia state flag, but in typical scumbag politician fashion........we got duped. And it was taken away against overwhelming support for it.
The resulting flag which flies (for now) is a compromise.

Call it a compromise if you will, but I think it is mocking the ignorance of those who despise the Confederate flag. They removed the battle flag of the confederacy and just made it into the National Flag of the Confederacy and they were able to do it because no one associates it with "racist" ideals.

Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Georgia all have state flags designed with some aspect of a flag of the Confederacy.

You misunderstand. I agree with the above. But, make no mistake..........this flag is a 100% compromise.
It was rigged so that the majority who wanted the old Georgia flag back....... complete with the beautiful and noble battle-flag.. would vote for this new one in fear of having to settle for the ridiculous blue rag that the yankee carpetbagger politicians of Atlanta wanted to force down our throats.
