Not sure why. Aren't they the only conference game that weekend? While certainly not a high profile matchup, there really aren't many across the SEC that week.

USC will play UNC that night as well, I believe. Not a conference game, but a rare meeting between cross-border ancient rivals....

I hate this shite. Thursday night games really favor the home team and we do not benefit from the extra time next week because we dont play anyone worth a shite. I do like opening with Vandy do give the guys that extra push in the off season knowing they are facing a quality opponent and get a chance to start the season off 1-0 in the SEC, but Im not in favor for a thursday night game

If they open up the SEC season on Thursday, it'll likely be at 11:00am on the SEC Network.
