Your right. It's not like Alabama didn't have to play 5 times the number of teams coming off bye weeks than any other SEC team from 2008 - 2010. Or I guess that was the SEC doing us a favor as well. In 2010, we played 6 teams with bye weeks before us. Grow a pair dude.

That's kinda what makes it even. The four vandy as you call them are cross divisional rivals. The better teams historically are cross divisional rivals. It makes for a pretty even schedule over the course of time and makes it teams have a chance of getting to a bowl game, which means more money for all of us.
Maybe LSU wants to play vandy, Mizzou, and Kentucky one year when we go to 9 game schedule and have alabama, auburn, arky, and A&M at home. But I don't think that would be really fair either.

With regard to LSU and SPUAT, the only team playing two Vandys next year is SPUAT (Bluegrass Vandy Dooley Vandy).

This 2013 schedule is the issue. I have my problems with the permanent rivals thing but over the long term I don't think it's the end of the world. This however is on a totally different level and it's almost as if competitive balance was completely disregarded.

We get an additional huge game to play, enjoy it. If we were playing kentucky or vandy, when they would come to LSU tiger stadium it would be empty after half.
