Maybe if it was in Starkville, but I have a hard time imagining them coming into Tuscaloosa and winning. They're good, but it's at home, we're more talented, and we won't be taking them lightly (at least I would hope not). Something like 24-10 or so wouldn't surprise me.
Everything you said sounds about right

Really he's not being a homer, "It's all just a gut feeling"
Hope is more like it.

I agree that there is not much tangible evidence to support this claim, only that I have been watching State play and have had a sneaking suspicion they will play Bama hard. This is just gut.

I'm not flaming. I'm simply stating that IMO State will have the best opportunity to come out of Bryant Denny with a win. I have said the team has been dominant and they well could roll State, but I have a feeling it will be a hard fought game-which the Tide is not used to this season.

It's not going to happen. State really has turned the corner, but Bama is just a much, much better team all around. It may be closer than people think, but I cannot fathom State beating Bama at all.

If I was trolling, I would have said "Mississippi State will roll Bama this year". I said that State has a great chance against the Tide this year and I stand by it.

State is definitely capable of beating LSU, just look at last year's game. Who said they weren't? LSU doesn't play State until the week after Bama, so besides being at Tiger Stadium, they're going to be a little banged up for us as well.
Why are you guys all of a sudden so crazy about teams getting banged up. Ole Miss played Alabama and they were not banged up when they played Texas A&M and Auburn.
So Miss State playing in Tiger Stadium means something but them playing in BDS doesn't mean as much.
I think Miss State is a solid team, but they have some defensive issues. They played Troy on the road and gave up close to 600 yards. Now based on a hunch you feel they will defeat Alabama on road.
Anything can happen but I'm going to need to hear a very solid fact based argument to start thinking Miss Stat will come within a shot of winning that game.
I'm not sayin cannot happen, but a hunch or a good feeling is not very convincing.

The same Troy that lost to Western Kentucky at Home last week.

I agree with all of your points. I have already stated that this comes with no tangible argument. Yes, it is a feeling- a gut feeling. Just like the gut feeling I had when I watched Alabama play its first game in 2008 and after ten minutesI said to myself "They look like LSU did last year."

I know i am an ole miss poster but state does not look really good. defense is pretty tough but still middle of the pack. Offense put some drives together against ut........................... saban takes it easy as he has all season. 38-17 Satan

I am willing to be shouted down and you can even bump this thread if and when they lose, but State has been showing fight in their games and has been playing into the fourth quarter. They have a talented secondary and receivers who can make plays(that last touchdown reception was sick). This game will be State's superbowl and they will come to play. Bama has been playing ruthless and efficiently but not with second-half dedication. I'm not saying it's a sure thing, but I believe State will have a great chance to stir things up and give Bama a gameplan they are not expecting.
It's a big tough world out there and this could happen. Miss St. has a strong team this year. Their qb is having a great year and their running game has been solid.
I feel okay with the way our D matches up with them. Saban has figured out this scheme the last few times he's faced it though I'm sure Mullen will show some new wrinkles.
If we can keep McCarron healthy between now and then I think our offense can score enough to win the game.

I would love to see State play hard and win. They deserve it. Best fans in the SEC. My brother lives in Columbus and have to gone to some games. I think if they play up to their potential they have a good shot.

I think you should focus on your own team winning next week.
Like I said before the reason LSU will lose to Bama on 11/3 is
They got too much Bama in them....Bamasessed
