IU vs UK would top exposure as both are top teams. Giving Duke exposure over UK and IU keeps the ACC in the game instead of leaving them behind - Which is a strategy that should be preferred by both UK and IU. In case you missed it there was not an ACC team in the Final Four this past spring and that is a trend I would like to see continue. When UK played Freedom or RCA Dome they got half the tickets. UK playing in Atlanta means Stub Hub and Ticketmaster get the best seats and the fans get bent over by the NCAA sanctioned scalpers.

As for exposure, playing a Saturday game gets the top rating s numbers. Getting the 9pm slot on a Tuesday does not. This is not a hard concept to grasp. If you think tuesday > saturday you are crazy

Not sure where Madison Square garden comes in but why let Duke use a game with UK to recruit Atlanta / Georgia area. UK already gets that exposure playing in the SEC so why let an ACC team invade that turf. The smart play is to keep the ACC out of the SEC footprint. As for well attended, that will be an overpriced ticket in a bad time slot and the attendance numbers will be massaged over folks that actually walk through the turnstiles.

All the more reason to put it back in Lucas and YUM and put it back on a saturday where UK gets prime time and maximum ratings numbers. Show me where ESPN is beating CBS on a saturday for media numbers. For somebody who claims to be a UK fan you sure do not advance the best long term strategy to keep them ahead of the ACC for NCAA banners.

The first game of the classic was in MSG. We played Kansas last season. For someone who is such a big UK fan I thought you'd know this. It was also well attended by celebs, recruits, and gave an opportunity for exposure in Big East country.

Sure it does. It gives UK experience in big venues early in the season, knowing we have very young teams that will need that. It'll pay dividends come March where you really make the money. 2013 will put them in one of the hottest recruiting areas in the country in Chicago as well.

The ACC is going to get their exposure either way. Why are you so scared of the ACC? Good grief. You play them and beat them if you want to diminish their progress.

We tried to play IU in Lucas Oil. They refused adamantly. And you're laughingly naive if you think we're going to play in the Yum center when not playing Louisville. You do realize Louisville hasn't allowed that to happen to this point for a reason right? They have purposely scheduled to block us out of our annual city of Louisville game in the past in that venue. No way they're letting two border teams play there. They'd rather go broke (and they are) then let that happen.

For someone mocking my fandom you sure have some naive notions about things.
