Just need to go to a 9 game schedule...
With the money CBS & ESPN are gonna have to shell out in the next contract it's inevitable. They are going to want the extra inventory of games to justify making 14 SEC teams filthy rich...
Then it's 6-1-2 & all are happy...

Then it's 6-1-2 & all are happy...except for LSU fans who will STILL bitch about having to play a permanent opponent although your set up gets us back to the previous set up which everyone has been fine with since the first league expansion

9 game sched fixes just about everything. The paydays are going to be ridiculous as stated and then teams can actually play everyone.
My guess is the SEC also continues to pressure for the dumbing down of bowls so that a 5 win team can get a bid and throw out the FCS team exclusion. Lower tier bowls are all about trying to make a few bucks anyway, they don't care.
