i still haven't heard an explanation of why uf was able to move all the way up to number four in the nation, when at least three teams in front of them played well, and had big games also? furthermore, some of them played on the road, while the gators were at home.
for the record, i'm glad they won, to help show that the east is definitely back in charge in the sec, but just don't see how the polsters could defend the move to the teams who were ranked in front of them?

The same reason why K State jumped 8 spots after beating OU to number 8 and also why Stanford jump about the same amount after beating USC. Its called beating a top 5 team and looking decent doing it.

So the east is going to crown a champion this season? I really hope LSU skull fricks the sh!t out of USC this weekend. And Florida and Bama are the media darlings of the SEC and the refs. Pollsters wouldn't piss on LSU if they were on fire.

Florida deserves to be #1 based on quality of opponents, imo. Beating LSU like that resulted in pollsters rethinking them. South Carolina will either "right the wrong" this weekend or fall short, so this won't be a question very long.
