NFL experience seems to be a big boost at the coordinator/assistant levels, but less so at the head coach level. I.E. Weis, Sherman, Gailey, Shula, Croom. In fact the only coaches who have had success at the college level after leaving the NFL seem to be losers (at the NFL level) like Carroll, Saban, Spurrier and 2 of those were big names prior to going to the NFL.
Ultimately I think this is going to be useless discussion since I think Chiz is here for another year (for better or worse). We may have a new OC next year though.

Fedora is a legit chance, coached at UF spent time recruiting down here at S. Miss. Known for his offenses he would help us right away
