This is what most uninformed posters and fans don't understand. Everyone knows that Lee doesn't react well to pressure and our oline was getting blown off the ball all night. Also, for his career Lee had a 1td-8int stat line against Bama. For some reason Bama had his number and they knew it. Our oline yes worse than JJ of you actually know football. He was running for his life , THE ENTIRE GAME. I do understand that we needed to try something because what would it hurt.

LSU had so many blowouts last year, Mettenberger should have been a pretty experienced QB coming in.
Rivers isn't exactly getting time this year either.

up until the championship game, i thought Mettenberger was ineligible to play due to the transfer. cause there were many opportunities to play him for at least a series.

Darryl is 100% correct.It was ignorant not to give Mett more snaps last season.

Thankfully, Saban is playing a bunch of young and inexperienced players in the second half of games this year. He is less concerned with the score and more concerned with developing depth.
One downside to this is Alabama almost never covers now. I would not wager on any Alabama line that is in double digits.
This develops depth but also helps team chemistry. Saban has even played a walkon running back. You know that has to help the scout team.
Alabama has played three QBs.

I thought this last season. With so many large margin victories, it made absolutely no sense to keep him from taking meaningful snaps.
He was taking a knee with 5 minutes left in the Ole Miss game, or close to it. I've never understood why Miles did that.

Blowout is only 1 word. naaahhh just 'teasin'. Im not drunk like last friday night. I was just scanning some posts, and couldnt help but notice the picture. I couldnt pass up the opportunity. - sorry for being such a JA last wk. My buddy posts regularly on here, and he was just getting a kick out of it.
