Finebaum today about LSU and Les Miles regarding QB's

Darryl called in and said Les can't manage qb's. Said that Les should have had Mettenburger in all of the blowouts last year to get him experience. I can't believe I am going to say this, but I actually agree with him.

You could actually understand what Darryl was saying? Half the time, his accent makes me want to drive icepicks into my own ears. The other half, I can't make out what he's saying at all.

If Lee couldnt even get in during the national championship game, then I am not surprised Mett never played in mop up.
Mike Sherman was very similar in that he rarely let the backups get any meaningful reps.

Mett should have started every game last year. IMO

I have said the same thing. I wish Mett would have gotten more meaningful PT during some of our blow outs last year.
His inexperience is showing. I just hope the offense starts clicking tomorrow.

I keep telling everyone Les gave up on Lee after the first bama game. He was scheduled to start against Western Kentucky the following week and instead JJ started and Lee never had any meaningful snaps after that. Personally, I don't think it would have mattered who we had at QB on 1/9/12. The o line was getting owned big time and superman couldn't have made plays against them.

I wanted Mett to play more too. I just got so fricking tired of the JJ / JL shite.

Keep in mind that Finebaum is just a sports version of Walton and Johnson, it's almost all scripted. There's two dudes and a chick that do all the callers' voices.

I actually put more on the OC, I've not been impressed with his overall game prep, I think he gets too conservative.
